Meeting of the Experts and Coordinators of the member banks of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Interbank Consortium.

On May 16, 2024, under the chairmanship of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan in the online format held a meeting of experts and coordinators of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Interbank Consortium (SCO IBC) in the framework of the presidency of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the SCO in 2023-2024, which was attended by a working group of Amonatbank under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman of the Board of SUE SB RT “Amonatbank” Rizvonzod Firdavs Zikr.

Along with the delegation of Amonatbank, the event was attended by leading development institutions of the SCO member states - Republic of India, Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the People's Republic of China, the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that the following topical issues in the sphere of banking and investment activities were on the agenda of the Meeting:

— Development and implementation of new forms of interaction to activate joint project financing, including ESG projects among SCO IBC member banks;

— Expansion of the SCO IBC and further cooperation with financial institutions of the SCO observer states and dialogue partners;

— Cooperation in the sphere of training experience and exchange;

— Agreeing the dates and venue of the SCO IBC Council meeting

At the same time, within the framework of the Meeting, the Parties reviewed the draft Memorandum of cooperation within the framework of ESG financing SCO IBC proposed by Kazakh side and agreed to make every effort to sign the proposed document at the SCO IBC Council meeting after the necessary procedures.
